The English Riviera, consisting of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, and nearby Dartmouth offers an abundance of sport & leisure opportunities.

With 22 miles of beautiful coastline, watersports play a large part in the numerous leisure activities available to visitors. When visiting Torquay, within a few miles you’ll be able to enjoy… safe diving with both BSAC and PADI diving schools; sailing, with dinghies and “cats” for hire, plus sailing instruction if needed. Fishing from shore and charter boats (all harbour areas) is very popular, with some great catches this year.

Several of the region’s finest golf courses are within a short drive of the English Riviera, offering a challenge for golfers of any experience. You’ll also find bowling greens, walking, and cycling.

Other popular sporting activities include tennis, squash, badminton, bowling greens, ten pin bowling and more!

For those people preferring to stay on dry land, you will find some of the most beautiful coastal walks in the country to enjoy. The South West Coast Path National Trail has 630 miles of superb coastal walking and stretches from Minehead on the edge of the Exmoor National Park to the shores of Poole Harbour in Dorset.
