It is situated on the English Riviera’s beautiful Babbacombe Downs in Torquay, South Devon.
The refurbished BABBACOMBE THEATRE has been a valuable asset to the English Riviera for over seventy years, having been renowned for wowing audiences with their highly acclaimed variety shows, most especially since 1986 when Matpro Limited took over the venue.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary during 2011, and Matpro’s 50th production the all new show this season Heatwave (accredited with 5 star reviews), promises lots of sizzle, crackle and pop!!
You may not be lazing on a sun-drenched beach but whilst you sit back for two hours and soak up the comedy rays as the cast surf through a cornucopia of variety which includes highlights from Les Miserables, The Beatles, Lady Gaga, Shrek the Musical, a trip on the Lazy River and a flight from Stanstead to Derry… your theatre experience will definitely leave you ‘Walking on Sunshine!’
