This snazzy chippy is the new endeavour from Mitch Tonks, the former Fishworks owner.

It feels like a big beach hut, all bleached walls and wooden floors, and sits right on the waterfront in Dartmouth so you can watch the river bustle outside.

Most of the fish are fresh off the boat from around the bay in Brixham, although the crab and lobster comes from Dartmouth and the salmon is home-smoked by Mitch.

The menu has five white fish, served battered or breaded with chips, but also includes scallops, oysters and classiccs such as jellied eels, cockles, cracked crab and potted shrimp.

Not your ordinary fish and chip shop, the RockFish Seafood & Chips seats 70 people and serve the freshest fish bought straight from the fish markets daily. Served up in the restaurant in stylish take away boxes with chips, there will be a choice of the market’s fish available as well as specials like cracked Devon crab to try out.

A good range of wines to keep the grown up members of the party happy and plenty of sauces – mayonnaise, tomato sauce, garlic mayo, tartare sauce – to enjoy with the fish, followed up by great ice creams. A great family seafood restaurant.

Our menu includes a wide range of seafood specialties such as potted shrimps, crab salads and sandwiches, cracked crab, smoked salmon and oysters. We serve fish in breadcrumbs (some fish such as sole are better served this way) as well as in batter – such as the usual cod & chips, haddock & chips etc.

We have scallops, fresh langoustine tails and a small section of grilled fish such as local mackerel and bass. Most of our fish is landed at Brixham although the langoustines come from Scotland and the smoked salmon is smoked by Mitch Tonks at home.

We have a fantastic wine list ranging from bottles priced at £14 upwards and you can have just a single glass of wine or even a cup of tea and a piece of bread to go with your cod & chips.
