‘Breaking Dawn’ Reveals Make Best ‘Twilight’ Year Yet

We knew 2011 was going to be a big year in the world of “Twilight” news. The fanbase seemed to keep growing by the hour, as did the excitement surrounding the release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1.” The release of a new “Twilight” film also meant that we’d be seeing a lot of the blockbuster franchise’s superstars as they promoted the film — and, boy, was MTV News lucky with how much time we ended up spending with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the gang this year. As such, this week’s “Twilight Tuesday” is dedicated to the best and brightest of those interviews with our favorite stars.

Our first encounter with a “Twilight” star was our chat with Pattinson at the Golden Globes, during which he provided us with a giggly reaction to the first “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ still of Bella and Edward in bed, as well as his positive reviews of Stewart playing a vampire. “It’s like she wanted to do it the entire time,” he told us. “It’s really funny, it’s like a completely different environment on set when she’s a vampire and when she’s not. I think she’s going to do it really well.”

There were also plenty of teases about the film’s most highly anticipated scenes, including the wedding of Edward and Bella and the honeymoon sex scene. Of seeing Stewart in a wedding dress during the filming of their characters’ nuptials, Pattinson said, “She looked amazing. I really didn’t do much than just stand there.”

Stewart later said of the experience: “It was very, very emotional for me.”

Pattinson added, “You kind of realize what the groom’s position in a wedding is, which, in reality, is basically a prop. You stand there in a suit, and then everyone is looking at the girl.”

One scene in which everyone was most certainly not just looking at the girl is the first sex scene between Edward and Bella on their wedding night. “I think we had some really interesting ideas about [the love scene],” Pattinson said when we caught up with him at the “Water for Elephants” press junket. “It’s kind of interesting, as well, having to do it in the context of PG-13. It makes it more interesting.”

Speaking to all the hype about the big moment, Pattinson said that although there was a lot of pressure to deliver some major fireworks in the scene, he was confident he’d give a convincing performance. “That’s the one time I have felt like the coolest person,” Pattinson admitted with a laugh. “I was like, ‘This is easy!’ I can fulfill people’s sexual fantasy expectations without even thinking, piece of cake. That isn’t acting,” he joked. “The only thing [that was difficult] is the vanity aspect,” Pattinson continued. “Taylor [Lautner] just ruined the whole series for me. As soon as he buffed up, I’m like, ‘Well, I’m throwing in the towel’ on ‘New Moon.’ ”

Speaking of Lautner and his chiseled abs, the heartthrob told us that he had to actively campaign to director Bill Condon and the powers that be to limit his amount of shirtlessness in the film, much to the disappointment of his devoted fan following.

“I got it down to one time, one time in the movie, and it literally lasts for two seconds,” Lautner said proudly of his single shirtless shot. “There was some negotiating for sure. There was more [shirtless scenes] when I read the original script, trust me,” he said. “And I got it down to a very, very small amount, which I was so happy with.”

Other interview highlights included the unexpected, off-the-cuff, informal moments wherein our favorite stars played ball with a few of our more-outlandish requests and questions. Case in point: When we asked Jackson Rathbone to help read off a few of the 2011 MTV Movie Awards nominees in song, which he did in good spirits and with aplomb. Then there was the “Breaking Dawn” version of the always-entertaining “Yes/No Show” with Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner.

And those are just a small collection of our favorites from 2011 alone. Only time will tell what 2012 will bring as we gear up for the “epic” conclusion to the franchise, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” It goes without saying that we can’t wait.

For ‘Breaking Dawn’ Fans, One Viewing Isn’t Enough

‘Twilight’ enthusiasts’ repeat viewings could keep flick box-office king.

Happy “Twilight” Tuesday! It’s time for another installment in our resurrected series of columns dedicated to all things regarding Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, Jacob Black and the rest. Today’s topic: Just how long will “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1″ reign as box-office king?

Knowing the serious dedication the “Twilight” fanbase has to the film franchise, it’s no surprise “Breaking Dawn” dominated the box office during its opening weekend. And even with a slew of highly anticipated films opening this weekend — “The Muppets,” “Hugo” and “Arthur Christmas” among them — the fervor still surrounding “Breaking Dawn” and fans’ commitment to see the film multiple times means that the vampires and werewolves are very likely to hold the #1 spot for a while.

“I have seen the movie twice,” Cade Johnson, of Salinas, California, told MTV News via email. “I would like to see it in theaters at least four times, maybe five,” he said. “It is definitely the best out of the four so far, in my opinion.”

Yvonne R. Villani of Hiram, Georgia, has also vowed to see the film multiple times and has a strategy in place for how to keep herself immersed in “Twilight” goodness as long as possible: “I’ve seen this movie multiple times and plan on seeing it a few more times because I just really liked it!” she said. “I have been waiting all year and part of last year, since I read the book, for this movie to come out. I have ‘Breaking Dawn’ both in paperback and audio CD, so I figure I will start either reading it or listening to it again this week, then when I get to where the movie left off, I will go see it again to remind myself of the differences and really compare.”

“Twilight” expert Laura Byrne-Cristiano, who runs TwilightLexicon.com, said she’s noticed a lot of fans changing their opinions about “Breaking Dawn” the book now that the film version has opened.

“I’ve also noticed a real shift in opinion that caught me by surprise so much so that I ran a poll about it,” said Byrne-Cristiano said. “When the novel ‘Breaking Dawn’ came out, it was a love/hate thing. But from what I’ve seen, people have really started to change their minds about it, and have come to like it.

“The people who got into ‘Twilight’ after the movies came out seem to pick ‘Breaking Dawn’ as their favorite book by a landslide, which is something that never occurred to me in a million years because of all the backlash when it first came out.”

So, what is it about these films that has fans so engrossed and committed? It’s a “clean movie” with universal appeal, according to fan and repeat viewer Alessandra Sorgato, who wrote to us all the way from Milan, Italy.

“I’m glad that so many people can identify themselves with the characters of ‘The Twilight Saga,’ ” she said. “It kind of surprises me because Stephenie Meyer wrote a love story which is anything but ordinary — it’s not based on sex, adultery and things like that. Lately it has become quite unusual to see movies focused on morals like eternal love, true friendship, the value of family at the top of the box office,” she added. ” ‘Breaking Dawn’ is a ‘clean movie,’ still it’s very successful all over the world, and I love it.”

Speaking of worldwide love and success, we found out via a quick Twitter poll that there are a slew of very dedicated fans out there who have already seen “Breaking Dawn” six times, with one on her way to a 20th viewing!

“I will keep going till they stop playing it!” wrote Robyn Smyly.

“I will see it 6 times and my fave scene is when Bella takes her ‘human minutes’ when they get on the island,” said Kalynn Drake.

“I’ve officially seen it 5 times now as of yesterday afternoon. What can I say? I’m addicted,” admitted fan Jodi-Lynn.

“I plan on seeing BD at least a dozen times in theatre, I’ve already seen it three times,” Mel Douglas chimed in.

There are so many more where those came from, but the award so far for most viewings definitely goes to Fran Richards, who wowed us with this stat: “I have seen Breaking Dawn [Part] 1 a total of 19 times so far,” she wrote. “Doing a 5 show marathon today!”

‘Breaking Dawn’ Carolina Herrera Wedding Gown To Hit Stores

You too can look like Bella Swan on her wedding day now that the official replica of the elegant gown Kristen Stewart wore in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ is available in stores. The Carolina Herrera-designed dress that Stewart wears when she and Robert Pattinson trade vows onscreen arrived in stores on Monday, priced at $799, according to The Wall Street Journal.

In addition to the movie’s much ballyhooed sex scene, fans eagerly anticipated the wedding scene, where Bella dons the glorious long-sleeve lace bridal gown. Though the film’s version of the dress was designed by Herrera, bridal retailer Alfred Angelo handled the replication and has been working with Summit Entertainment since May to get the item in stores in time for the film’s premiere. The dresses are available at Alfred Angelo stores nationwide.

Herrera herself will also be selling the gown in her CHNY boutiques next year, according to a Reuters report. Details on how many dresses will be produced and how much the gown will cost have not been released.

During our “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” live stream earlier this month, Stewart, flanked by co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, described the fantasy nuptials as “realistically ceremonial” and “very, very emotional.” She even kept the dress a secret from her castmates, except for Pattinson, who caught a sneak peek, much to her dismay.

“Nobody saw it until I walked out, which made me so …,” Stewart said, struggling for the right word. “It wasn’t about the dress, it was just everything involved. I was like, ugh, so very the center of attention at that very moment.”

Herrera’s original design was, of course, inspired by the book. “I was called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very inspired by her book and the description of the wedding,” Herrera said at the film’s premiere. “I was very flattered I was asked to do it; it’s a big scene for me.”

Though she made the dress for Stewart, a big-time actress in one of the highest-grossing films of the year, Herrera approached the design just as she would any other bride.

“Wedding dresses are different, because you have to know that it’s the most important day in the life of a woman,” she said. “You have to please the bride first of all, and it has to be a secret. I cannot talk about the dress before the groom sees it.

“I treated [Kristen Stewart's Bella] like every other bride,” she admitted. “I think [Stewart] was very moved when she tried it on. And that means a lot, because she felt that it was the right one.”

Will ‘Breaking Dawn’ R-Rated Sex Scene Make The DVD?

“Twilight” fans should know by now that the original sex scene filmed for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ was a lot steamier than the version that made the final cut. The MPAA said the film would need an R rating if director Bill Condon didn’t cut out some of the “thrusting.”

Needless to say, he did, and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ currently reigns atop the box office with a PG-13 rating. But screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg admitted to MTV News that she wished the raunchier cut had made it to the big screen.

“Bill, he went for it,” Rosenberg said with a laugh when she recently spoke to MTV News. “I wanted to keep [the footage].”

Though all the bumping and grinding didn’t make it to the final cut of the film, Rosenberg is crossing her fingers that a lot of the footage will make it to the DVD. So everyone out there hoping that some of the more explicit parts of that sex scene will one day be released for public consumption, you just might be in luck.

That’s not the only scene that got chopped from the final cut of the movie, though. Rosenberg said there was a sequence before Bella and Edward’s wedding that also got the ax because it was slowing down the rest of the movie.

“There was a whole section before the wedding with Charlie, Renee and Carlisle and Edward, kind of a back-and-forth, but it just slowed everything down. But there are some nice things in there,” she said.

To calm fans who might be upset about missing that interaction, Rosenberg added, “But again, these are things that will show up someday.”

‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ Has A ‘Global Feeling’

“Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ has officially arrived in theaters, and you know what that means: Let the talk about “Part 2″ begin!

MTV News’ Josh Horowitz sat down with director Bill Condon and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg to discuss what Twi-hards can expect from the conclusion of “The Twilight Saga.”

Condon hinted that there will be a significant jump in tone between “Part 1″ and “Part 2,” a film he described as “epic.” “['Breaking Dawn - Part 1'] is a very, very emotional, romantic story in the first half that gets dark and has elements of a horror movie in it,” he said, possibly referring to the infamous birth scene.

In “Part 2,” Condon said the action will focus on the larger world of vampires, which comes into the conflict with the birth of Bella and Edward’s daughter, Renesmee. “The second one: It is truly the meeting of the vampires from around the world, so it has a really kind of global feeling,” he said.

Rosenberg promised one thing: action. “The journey of the second film is survival, and it is kick butt. There’s going to be some action going on there,” she said.

Both Condon and Rosenberg were hesitant to comment on how the second film will end. Condon said he knows how it ends, but wouldn’t offer much else, saying only, “It’s an ending.”

Rosenberg, on the other hand, was more giving, and said the answer lies in what Stephenie Meyer originally wrote. “It’s in the book, and it felt right,” she said.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Screenwriter Invited Herself To Wedding

The first “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ teaser trailer, released back in June, gave fans a look at the wedding of Bella Swan and Edward Cullens. But equally interesting were the guests of honor featured in the wedding sequence, which introduced new characters like the Denali clan of vampires. But with the movie in theaters on Friday (November 18), one attendee in particular will likely have Twilighters geeking out.

“The Twilight Saga” author Stephenie Meyer made her first cameo in the series back in 2008′s “Twilight,” playing a restaurant patron. But the author-turned-executive producer on parts 1 and 2 of “Breaking Dawn” couldn’t resist returning to the big screen so she could attend the wedding ceremony she inspired. In a blink-and-you-miss it moment, Meyer can be spotted sitting in the pews on Bella and Edward’s big day. But she’s not the only behind-the-scenes figure who makes a sneak appearance.

“I’m right next to her!” “Breaking Dawn” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg recently told MTV News.

Rosenberg understands, however, if fans don’t recognize her on the first viewing, because even she couldn’t find her cameo at first. She admitted to jokingly telling director Bill Condon that “there’s one guest at the wedding who’s not seen enough,” until Condon added a few more frames in the movie. But when Rosenberg still couldn’t spot herself among the guests, Condon took matters into his own hands.

“Finally, during one screening, he stopped and said, ‘See! There you are!’ ” she said with a laugh. “It was Stephenie and then [producer] Wyck Godfrey and then myself and then [producer] Bill Bannerman, we were all in the same row at the wedding.”

And as Meyer and Rosenberg are behind the “Twilight Saga” screenplays, it only makes sense that they took the time to come up with a backstory for their respective characters at the wedding.

“Stephenie was married to Wyck, and I was [Bella's mom] Renee’s friend from California,” Rosenberg explained. It sounds like there’s a fan-fiction to be written about the time between Meyer’s diner dinner and when she got invited to the Cullen wedding!”

‘Breaking Dawn’ Director Gave Fans ‘A Lot’ Of Sex

“Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ features two of the most hotly anticipated moments in the entire “Twilight Saga.” First, lovebirds Bella Swan and Edward Cullen finally get it on. And later, in a far less tender scene, Bella endures a pretty gory birth to give life to her half-human, half-vampire daughter, Renesmee.

Bill Condon knew all along that those two scenes were pivotal moments that he would need to get right onscreen. But keeping in mind the PG-13 rating the studio wanted to preserve, the director also knew that he had to tackle those intense sequences without going too far over the line. When MTV News caught up with Condon, he predicted that fans will be pleased with the final product (especially the sex scene), which hit theaters on Friday (November 18).

As in the novel, the honeymoon scene plays out mostly through Bella remembering the passionate night the morning after, which allowed Condon to show the event in several parts.

“I think when you see the movie you’ll see, you think you get it and then you get more of it and then you get more of it, which I think was part of the intention because it’s such a big thing — everyone’s been waiting for it,” he said. “We just wanted to make sure you got a lot of it when you got it.”

And Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were good sports about the whole process, Condon said, though he admitted filming the steamy section got “kind of clinical.” The scene was carefully choreographed but the two lead actors were “so cool about it.”

The birthing sequence, which easily could have pushed the film to an “R” rating, proved similarly challenging. Condon wanted to stay as true as possible to Stephenie Meyer’s depiction but he knew he couldn’t be too graphic. “You want to give people the experience they had reading the book, and that was incredibly powerful, the way Stephenie described it.

“You can’t show everything, obviously, we have a [PG-13] rated movie,” he said. “But we did it through the point of view of Bella and what she can see as she’s giving birth. I think your imagination fills in a lot of that.”

‘Breaking Dawn’ Breaks Box-Office Records

Latest ‘Twilight’ entry has third-highest opening day ever.

“Twilight” fans came out in force Friday and made sure “Breaking Dawn” broke records.

“The Twilight Saga” may be drawing to a close, but there’s nothing close to a slowdown at the box office. Estimates put the Friday numbers for the second-to-last entry in the series at $138 million around the world, as “Breaking Dawn” rolled out in 54 global markets. The domestic box office received a welcome 11 percent boost from the same period last year, thanks to the legions of “Twilight” fans.

Midnight showings helped propel “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ past “The Dark Knight,” “Transformers” and most of the “Potter” movies in the all-time opening-day box-office record books. “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ enjoyed the third-highest opening day ever with a projected $72 million in domestic receipts, according to studio estimates. The first part of Edward, Bella and Jacob’s final chapter together didn’t manage to beat the opening day of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2″ or 2009′s “New Moon,” but it was a close race between the “Twilight” films. “New Moon” opened with $72.7 million, and final calculations could change the outcome between the two.

“Twilight” fans who endured long lines for midnight showings accounted for $30.25 million of the “Breaking Dawn” first day-number. Based on the receipts thus far, industry watchers predict an opening weekend in the $140 million range, which is more than Summit Entertainment’s conservative projections. That would give the latest “Twilight” the fifth-highest opening weekend ever behind “Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” “The Dark Knight,” “Spider-Man 3″ and “New Moon.” “Eclipse” opened with $68.5 million; the first “Twilight” debuted with $36 million.

Critics savaged director Bill Condon’s first foray into Stephenie Meyer territory, but audiences have told a different story. “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ scored a paltry 27 percent on film review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences have given it a B+ CinemaScore. “Eclipse” and the first film remain tied as the best-reviewed in the series, with 49 percent each on the Tomatometer.

As expected, nothing else in theaters had anything close to the momentum of the continuing “Twilight” phenomenon. Despite additional revenue from 3-D showings, “Happy Feet 2″ opened with less than half of the previous movie’s first day in 2006. The animated feature (which once again features the voice of “The Lord of the Rings” star Elijah Wood) took in just $5.9 million, according to studio estimates.

Last weekend’s #1 movie, “Immortals,” was down 74 percent with $3.82 million. That decline is much worse than comparable swords-and-sandals action pictures like “300″ and “Clash of the Titans.” The horribly reviewed Adam Sandler vehicle “Jack and Jill” made $3.5 million in its second Friday in theaters. “Puss in Boots” dropped steeply but has earned well over $100 million in the last few weeks.

Well over a decade ago, the big box-office story started with a T as well: “Titanic” was on its way to become the highest-grossing movie of all time (later surpassed by “Avatar”) and the heartthrob generating all the heat was Leonardo DiCaprio, not Robert Pattinson. Nowadays, the 37-year-old actor and philanthropist is all grown up and starring in director Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar” biopic. The limited-release period drama dropped 58 percent on its second Friday and has generated an estimated $16.6 million thus far. The movie certainly wasn’t conceived as a blockbuster. DiCaprio still has summer-movie clout: “Inception” has grossed nearly $300 million since it was released in July 2010.

“Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” the penultimate entry in “The Twilight Saga,” hit theaters Friday (November 18), and millions of fans around the world will see what Bella, Edward and Jacob are up to in this installment.

Many of them won’t read a single review before going to the theater, but if you are curious about what the nation’s critics have to say about the latest vampire romance, we’ve taken a sampling that best represents the overall consensus.

Turns out, “Breaking Dawn” is just like every other “Twilight” movie. Fans won’t be disappointed, but outsiders may have trouble getting adjusted, since the film doesn’t take any breaks to explain what’s come before. But director Bill Condon brings some nice touches with his first venture into the series.

The Story
” ‘Dawn’ picks up where ‘Eclipse’ left off, with our heroes Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) set to wed. The wedding is as storybook as the romance, which explains why there are so many ‘Twilight’ moms: Bella is perceptive and patient, saving sex for marriage. The Honeymoon Sex Scene
“The ‘Twilight’ movies have devoted three episodes to Bella Swan’s clinging to her virginity despite the compelling appeal of Edward Cullen, the vampire. Now comes ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,’ in which you have to give her credit: She holds out until after her wedding. Then she and Edward fly to Brazil and a luxurious honeymoon hideaway on the beach, where the morning after her wedding night she is black and blue with bruises, the frame of the bed is broken, all of the furniture is tossed around and the draperies are shredded. Good gravy! What happened? We have no idea. The movie doesn’t show us! Taylor Lautner
“As Jacob, Edward’s long-suffering, oft-rejected rival for Bella’s affection, Mr. Lautner has plenty of reasons to strip angry: he can turn into a wolf, for starters, and Jacob’s musculature has long been one of the most special of the movies’ effects. That’s reason enough for Mr. Condon to get the character’s shirt off, as is the unavoidable truth that Mr. Lautner, whose pumped physique and flat affect bring to mind one of those friendly pizza delivery boys in a pornographic movie, remains a dish best served with as few words and clothes as possible.” — Manohla Dargis, The New York Times

On Splitting Up “Breaking Dawn”
“When the decision was made to split Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two films to bring that blockbuster series to a close, there was cynical talk regarding mercenary motives to milk as many dollars as possible out of the franchise. Once the films came out, however, that talk stopped, so emphatically did the massive narrative incident justify the extended length. On the basis of ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 1,’ though, the same cannot be said of this series ender, which feels as bloated and anemic as Bella becomes during her pregnancy.” — Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter

“The fourth film in the ‘Twilight’ series reveals a flash or two of real filmmaking (mostly in a suggestively grotesque birthing sequence), enough to save it from pure lousiness. Kristen Stewart In Talks For Role In ‘Akira’

‘Breaking Dawn’ star would play Kei in big-screen adaptation of Japanese graphic novel.

Kristen Stewart is currently in “advanced talks” to star in “Akira,” based on the Japanese graphic novel. If things pan out, the “Twilight” star would play the female lead, Kei, Deadline Hollywood reports.

The news was first reported by TwitchFilm, who added that Stewart could join her “On the Road” co-star Garrett Hedlund in the movie, as well as Gary Oldman and Helena Bonham Carter, who are also rumored to be starring in the adaptation. In Katsuhiro Otomo’s manga, Kei is “a young medium who becomes the love interest for [Hedlund's] Kaneda.”

Deadline further reported that the film has been a high priority for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures for about two years now. Jaume Collet-Serra is set to direct the two films based on the three graphic novels. (“Akira” was previously adapted for the big screen in 1988 as an animated flick.)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Collet-Serra flicks would revolve around two brothers living in a place called New Manhattan. One brother, Kaneda, is a motorcycle gang leader, while his younger brother has telekinetic powers that can be used as a weapon. Stewart’s Kei would be involved in an underground movement trying to expose the government.

Should Stewart take the role, it could mark the third franchise on her growing résumé. On Friday, the first of those franchises nears its end with the release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” The last of the two-part finale hits theaters in 2012. She’s currently filming “Snow White and the Huntsman,” which also has series potential.

We’re back again for another “Twilight” Tuesday, our recently resurrected weekly column dedicated to anything and everything popping in the house that Stephenie Meyer built.

Not that we’ve been lacking content this month, since “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1″ opens this week, but there’s always something to spotlight. This week’s special subject: the lucky artists on the soundtrack.

When you’re associated with any of the “Twilight” films, no matter in what capacity, it’s kind of a big deal — particularly if you are an emerging artist on the music scene and one of your songs is selected to be part of the “Breaking Dawn” soundtrack. That dream recently came true for singer/songwriter Ryan O’Neal from Sleeping At Last when he found out his song “Turning Page” made the final cut.

“I wrote ‘Turning Page’ about six months ago, and it was something I felt I really wanted to be from Edward’s perspective,” he told MTV News recently, after a special concert performance for the fans camped out before the premiere in “tent city.” “I thought, ‘That makes sense,’ and things just kind of layered on itself. And after the first few piano chords, I felt like that was where I wanted to go with it. So then I sent it in, which was a total shot in the dark. I hadn’t heard anything [for a while], so I was pretty sure it was a no-go. And then a couple months ago, I got a call and was told it was in some of the parts of the film.”

In exactly what parts of the film does his song appear? When Bella is walking down the aisle and during the highly anticipated sex scene. Can you imagine sending in a song as a “shot in the dark” and then finding out that it is featured in not one, but two scenes? And not only that, but those two scenes happen to be two of the most important in the movie? O’Neal is a lucky duck. A hugely talented and deserving one, that is, and very appreciative.

“I’m still kind of wrapping my head around the whole thing,” O’Neal said. “I’m so, so privileged. I can’t even believe it.”
