The Downs is a fully licensed, 4 star guest accommodation located in popular Babbacombe.
Babbacombe is a village within the town of Torquay, and is often referred to as the ‘Jewel in Torquay’s Crown‘. Famous for its cliff top promenade which enjoys stunning views across Lyme Bay.
The Downs has twelve en-suite rooms, eight with balconies which offer fabulous views over Babbacombe Downs along the coastline towards Teignmouth, and across Lyme Bay to Portland Bill in Dorset.
The Downs is a family run establishment which welcomes young and old, families, couples and singles alike. We have just carried out the first phase of our refurbishment and now have 19″ flatscreen Freeview TV’s in all rooms, with free WiFi access throughout the building.
We can accommodate families in our four family rooms, with reduced rates for children under 12. We are also dog friendly – a number of our rooms are allocated for our four-legged friends.
